What To Know about Where pages open when you click a link inTaxLinx and How You can Change that:

  • If you Left-Click, the web page will open in the same tab as TaxLinx, effectively replacing it.

    • You can use the back arrow in your browser to go back to Txlnx.com if you had opened an external link.
    • You can hit the “Go Back” button if you had opened an internal page by left clicking and it will take you back to where you had been. Note that if you choose to open an internal page in a new tab (see below for how to do this) then the “Go Back” button will not work as there is nowhere to go back to in the new tab.
    • If you have a bookmark for TaxLinx, you can use it to take you to taxlinx2dev.txlnx.com from anywhere.
    • TaxLinx Tabs and Bookmarks are identifiable by the icon .

  • If you prefer to make a page open in a new tab instead of the same tab, there are 3 ways (at least):

    • Instead of left-clicking, click with the Scroll Button on your mouse.
    • Hold the Ctrl key while you left click.
    • Right click and select “Open link in new tab”.

  • next to a link means it is an external link.
